about

The Move Move Collaborative gathered in person at Gray's Manor Farm, a Black-owned permaculture site in southern MD in June of 2021. This was our fifth gathering. Seven artists, Orlando Johnson, Peter Redgrave, Cristal Sabbagh, Ashley Shey, Sifu Sun, Matt Williams, and Emmett Wilson, came together for five days. We stayed together in tents at the farm. We taught workshops for each other and we ate together.

On the full moon - Michele Blu, Tom Boram, and Bashi Rose joined us.

We did not have a public facing performance in 2021. We created a video and recordings, but we focused our time together on reconnecting with each other and with the land. It was a healing time.

The recordings here are predominantly for the night with the musicians. We have included one track from a workshop.

All proceeds (that we receive) go right back into the Move Move Collaborative project. Please support our effort to make a community of creative movement artists across difference.

Thank you for your attention - we recognize that it is precious.
